まずは、一般的なイギリスの天候についてお話しますね。

年を通して、主に曇りか雨です。平均気温は１８度程度で、しかもそれが夏の話です！冬の間は、ツンとするような寒さで、よく雨がふります。

僕の住んでいた、田舎のほうではよくマイナス３度までさがりとても寒かった。ですが、霜に木々や芝生が覆われるこの時期が最も美しい時期だと思っていました。

また、オーストラリアにも住んでいた際は、天候がとても違い、予想のつかないものでしたので、慣れるのに長い時間がかかりました。

メルボルンでは、夏には４０度を超える日もあり、本当に暑すぎましたが、通常は３０度前後で日本と似たような気温でした。しかし、日本ほど南オーストラリアは湿度が高くないので、ビーチでBBQをするのが暑い日にはとても気持ちよい過ごし方でした。

Hey everybody,

First, I’m going to tell you about the climate in England. Generally, throughout the year, it is mainly cloudy or raining; the average temperature is only around 18 degrees, and that is in summer! During winter, it’s crispy cold and often raining. I lived around the countryside, and the temperature would frequently drop below freezing ( -3 degrees). However, I found this to be the most beautiful time, as the trees and grass were often covered in frost.

Also, having lived in Australia, I found the weather to be very different but sometimes just as unpredictable, yet it took me a long time to get used to it. In Melbourne, during summer, the temperature could go over 40 degrees! It was too hot. But generally, the temperature would be around 30 degrees, similar to Japan; however, southern Australia is not as humid. A BBQ at the beach was the perfect solution!
