一般に信じられていることとは違って、カナダはいつも凍えているわけではない！

確かにカナダは北の雪国ですが、カナダの多くの場所は暖房を効かせる方法を知っています。

子供の頃、私はニューブランズウィック州の祖母の家で夏を過ごしました。雨が降っていなければ、30℃を超えることもありました。そんな日はアイスキャンディーで涼むか、祖母の町を散策しました！彼女はハンプトンと呼ばれるとても趣のある町に住んでいて、私は怖くて彼女の家の周りの森を探検することができませんでしたが、彼女は猫と一緒にいつも私を励ましてくれました。

私が子供の頃、一番好きだった夏は、兄と私が夏休み中ずっと祖父母と一緒に過ごせたことです。カナダの学校では、夏休みは約8週間でした。その間、兄と私はホープウェル・ロックス（下の写真）を含むニューブランズウィックの名所を探検しました。当時、私は12歳でした！子供の頃、兄と私はいつも意見が一致していたわけではありませんでしたが、この旅行は間違いなく私たちがより仲良くなり始めた旅行でした！

My Favourite Summer!

Contrary to popular belief, Canada isn’t always freezing! Sure, we are the snowy land up North, but many places in Canada know how to turn up the heat. Growing up, I spent a few summers at my grandmother’s house in New Brunswick. If it wasn’t pouring with rain, it was usually boiling- sometimes even above 30°C. During days like this, I would either stay cool with a nice popsicle or better yet, explore her town! She lived in a very quaint town called Hampton and while I was too scared to explore the forests surrounding her home, she was always there to encourage me, along with her cat.

My favourite Summer growing up was when my brother and I got to spend the whole summer vacation with my grandparents. In Canadian schools, summer vacation was about 8 weeks. During this time, my brother and I got to explore the sights in New Brunswick, including Hopewell Rocks (as seen above). I was twelve at the time! My brother and I didn’t always see eye-to-eye on things when we were kids, but this was definitely the trip that we started to get along more with eachother… maybe that’s why it’s been my favourite so far!
