10月10日はフィジーにとって大切な日です。フィジーデーとして知られ、1970年にフィジーがイギリスの植民地支配から独立した記念日です。今年は54周年です。

フィジーは1874年、地方首長間の紛争と政情不安の末、イギリスに割譲されました。

フィジー・デーは、パレードや行進、文化的パフォーマンス、式典、スピーチ、花火で祝われます。

都市や町では、伝統的な音楽、踊り、衣装も披露される。フィジー全土のさまざまな会場で、さまざまな文化グループが伝統舞踊を披露し、フィジーの伝統を祝う歌を歌います。

フォーマルな面では、伝統的なセレモニーやスピーチがあり、政府高官が国家の団結、進歩、独立の重要性を強調するスピーチをすることが多いです。

Fiji 🇫🇯 Day

October 10th is an important day in Fiji. Known as Fiji Day, it marks the anniversary of Fiji’s independence from British colonial rule in 1970. This year is the 54th anniversary.

Fiji was ceded to Britain in 1874 after a series of conflicts and political instability among local chiefs. This, protection from external threats, and economic challenges led Fijian chiefs to seek British governance. Fiji remained a British colony until it gained independence on October 10, 1970.

Fiji Day is celebrated with parades and marches, cultural performances, ceremonies and speeches, as well as fireworks.

The parades and marches are quite vibrant. Cities and towns also showcase traditional music, dances, and costumes. At different venues across Fiji, various cultural groups perform traditional dances and sing songs that celebrate Fijian heritage.

On the formal side, there are traditional ceremonies and speeches, where government officials often give speeches that emphasize national unity, progress, and the importance of independence.

In larger cities, fireworks displays conclude the day’s festivities, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.
